Okay, peoples, let's "weigh in"...
- I'm down a pound...finally (-1/-1.5)
- I logged my food at least 4 days this week. Woo-hoo!
- Long run of 5.5 miles on Sunday, short runs on Tuesday and Thursday
- Pilates on Wednesday and soon to be today
- Bought a new pedometer/calorie counter
- Canceled online Weight Watchers which means new $$ for kettle bells! Adventures with kettle bells coming up!
What about you guys? Don't be shy. Look, I've lost a grand total of 1.5 pounds for the YEAR. Every little thing counts...
Okay...here's mine...
ReplyDeleteI was up 0.5 pounds on Monday. Total loss is 79.8 since 1/20/2011. Still fighting back from a 10 pound gain since Christmas...
The good news...
I completed Day 2 week 2 of JG 5K training yesterday. Will do my long run tomorrow which means I will have finished the first two weeks of the program.
I went to the gym 6 of 7 days last week as planned. So far 4 for 4 this week with 2 more workouts planned this weekend to make me 6 for 6 as planned.
I can feel myself getting much stronger and the running part of the run/walk program is getting "easy" and I am enjoying my workouts.
Still feeling challenged by food choices but working my way throught it. Not sure what to expect on the scale on Monday but I am going to be patient. It will come. :)
Keep going. You know you'll hit a plateau if you're building strength. Sounds to me like you worked really hard last week!!
DeleteI was pretty good with meals this week BUT had a girl's movie night with some book club buddies last night & committed many calorie-laden sins. So no actual weight lost as of this morning. On the other hand, have done Jillian Michaels for last few consecutive days. (the fact that I'm this sore must mean it's working, yes?) And I'm about to meet a friend to briskly walk a couple of miles. So at LEAST I am finally getting butt in gear even if I haven't actually lost any of said butt. Yet.
ReplyDeleteGood work. I can tell you that doing Jillian didn't necessarily cause me to lose weight, but if you keep up with it for the four weeks and go through the workouts, you should get significantly stronger and see a difference in the waist band of your pants. It's not ALL about the scale--which is good b/c we both know what's going to happen on Sunday. : )
DeleteYour definitely not alone.. hit the gym 6/6 days so far this week (I've been off work.) I'm heading to Zumba class to destroy a beautiful culture's dance moves in order to help me gain a waistline. I'll weigh in at the gym.. I think things are being redistributed, but not lost.
ReplyDeleteYou're cracking me up with the "destroy a beautiful culture's dance moves." I do that each time I attempt Zumba, but it's good stuff, and fun, too. The important thing is to keep going to the gym. More muscle = more calories. Eventually....
DeleteI was down about two pounds from the stress of traveling. Not sure if this will stay off. I have been trying to wean myself off the sugar. Cutting back on snacks. Cutting back on second helpings. Exercise starts next week when the kids go back to school. I must fit into my shorts again, I must!
ReplyDeleteHey, you. Healthier snacks--you gotta eat every 3 hours or so to keep the metabolism going. And, dude, I supposedly burned about 500 calories last night playing Just Dance on the sweat option. For reals. It was at least 300 calories....
DeleteAwesome! What exactly are Kettle bells....????
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work, girl.
